Privacy & Data Handling

1) What you upload

JobMirror processes resume files and pasted text only to generate the analysis you request (resume review, JD fit, offer comparison, or related workflows).

2) How files are used

• Uploaded PDFs are parsed to extract readable text.
• If browser extraction is weak, OCR fallback may be used to improve readability.
• If extraction remains too weak, JobMirror returns an error instead of pretending analysis succeeded.

3) AI processing & third-party providers

• Your resume and job description text is sent to a third-party AI provider to generate the analysis output. This is necessary for the service to work.
• Your content is not used to train any AI model — neither by JobMirror nor by our AI provider. Requests are processed transiently and discarded after the response is returned.
• The AI provider processes your data under their own privacy and data handling terms. JobMirror selects providers that explicitly commit to not using customer data for model training.
• No third parties other than our AI provider receive your resume or job description content.

4) Storage and retention

• Uploaded PDF files are not stored on JobMirror servers. They are parsed in memory and discarded immediately after text extraction.
• Usage logs and quota records are stored only to enforce plan limits and service stability.
• Generated share links or reports are stored only when you explicitly create them.
• Avoid uploading highly sensitive content that is not needed for career analysis.

5) Your control

• You can use pasted text instead of file upload at any time.
• You can remove an uploaded file selection before submitting for analysis.
• You can decide whether to create share links or exported reports.
• To request deletion of your account or associated data, contact us at the email in the footer.

6) Good-practice reminder

Redact personal identifiers you do not want analyzed (phone number, home address, ID details) before upload.
